Ferry Crossing
We are agents for both car ferry companies covering all routes and so we can obtain tickets at a reduced rate.
Decide on your route, then contact us by telephone or email and tell us:
- Your name
- Choice of port - it is possible to arrive by one port and leave by another, but please be aware that this can work out more expensive
- Dates of travel (they don't have to coincide with your stay at St Rhadagunds if you have other business on the island)
- Preferred times of travel in both directions - we will book you on the nearest actual ferry available
- Driver's name
- Number of people in the car, including the driver, divided between adults, children 5-15 years old and infants under 5
- Any unusual information, for example that you are towing a trailer or bringing an unusually long or high vehicle - normal vehicles even up to minibus size are not considered unusual - we do not need the make, model or registration number
This information will allow us to book your ticket. If there is a problem, such as ferries being full at the time you want during the peak season, we will telephone you to let you know and arrange a different time. If there are no problems, you will hear nothing until about 6 weeks prior to your visit, when tickets will be sent out to you with a request for payment.
You should aim to arrive at the port about 30 minutes before departure. Driving across the island to St Rhadagunds usually takes 30-40 minutes.
If in any doubt, please don't hesitate to contact us. |
